About the Artist

Rik Luczka resides with his family on a piece of dirt northeast of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Having a keen interest in art through his youth, Rik began sculpting in High School. His influences are artists such as Picasso, Van Gogh, David Smith, Giacometti along with local artists Douglas Bentham, and (the late) Bill Epp.

Rik is not a “formally trained” artist and he’s happy with that because while drinking Bohemian beers with Bill Epp, he said to Rik “keep making art your own way, not the way someone else is telling you how to create it and not have someone else tell you what art is.”

Rik enjoys working on commission projects as long as the client is okay with his own personal expression/artistic freedom being incorporated.
